What are you reading?

I am on the sixth book in the series Elm Creek Quilters by Jennifer Chiaverini.  I purchased the first three books in an antique store last year and finally picked it up to read while my daugher was in summer school classes.  I picked up the book last year because of the quilt referrece in the titles not knowing what to expext.  Well I read the first three books before my daughers two week summer course was over.  I ran to the book store and purchased the next three books in the series.  It's two weeks later and I'm on the sixt in the series and have the next five books on order from Amazon.  I can't remember when I was so into a series of book!
I highly recommend them to all of you...but be warned...they are addicting!

Here are the first six books:
The Quilters Apprentice, Round Robin, The Cross Countru Quilters, The Runaway Quilt, The Quilters Legacy & The Master Quilter
Aren't the covers great!

Oh yea did I mention that there are ten more books in the series?  I'll post about them later once I get them.

On top of the books with the great characters and their stories there is a series of books with pictures and patterns of the quilts featured in the stories and made by the characters.  How awesome to read about the quilts and be able to look at the actual quilts, made by the way by the author Jennifer Chiaverini.

These are the books with the quilts and patterns:
Elm Creek Quilts, More Elm Creek Quilts, Return to Elm Creek Quilts & Sylvia's Wedding Sampler

There is even a web site about the series check it out for more information on the books and all of the other obsessed readers like me out there.

I've read the first two or three ... and I need to order the next in the series from the library. ;-)

The next quilt I'm going to make is a big girl quilt for my littlest granddaughter T#4 -- I'm making Underneath the Stars -- a log cabin variation featured in the 15th Elm Creek Quilts novel the Quilter's Holiday. I'm using pinks, greens, and browns. I can't wait to start it. ;-)
