Macy's Windows
Last night my in-laws took us all out to dinner. After dinner we went downtown to see the holiday window displays at Macy's.
The windows tell the story "Yes Virginia There Is A Santa Clause".
It starts out with Virginia and her family around the tree:
See the kids upstairs on the landing putting the star on the tree?
In the doorway behind the family you can see the maid standing in the pantry!
Here is the street outside the newspaper office. See the guy decorating the light pole?
Here is Virginia on the steps with her letter to the editor.

That is absolutely fabulous! We have a Macy's here, but they don't decorate like that! Thanks so much for sharing!
I love window peeping in New York, but our Macy's doesn't have but a couple windows. Great story and love the pictures.
ooh sweetie thank you for sharing...i have never seen a macy's window and have always wanted to...i just love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a treat and such a sweet memory! blessings for a wonderful christmas...cat~
Christmas store windows were a big part of my childhood. We took our older daughter when she was young. I don't know if she remembers. Hmmm, something to ask her next time she calls.
Thanks for these photos---taking me back years ago when I lived near NYC and saw the Macys' windows there, or when a child outside of Chicago and we'd go into the city to see the Marshall Fields' windows!
